Mr. Sheeraz Ahmad commenced his professional career as a Teacher’s Assistant when still a student at SKANS School of Accountancy (Islamabad).
After qualifying for ACCA in August 2010, he was promoted to “Faculty Member” shortly after. Having been teaching Financial Accounting to CAT (Certified Accounting Technician) and ACCA students, by January 2012, Sheeraz progressed to become the Head of Department. In this capacity, he had the responsibility of managing a team of lecturers in Financial and Corporate Reporting.
Sheeraz also worked with the research department to develop study material, teaching methodologies and validate the testing system.
From July 2013, as part of the management team, Sheeraz worked with the Chief Financial Officer of SKANS on accounts receivables, payables, bank reconciliations as well as payroll, individual and consolidated financial statements, tax returns, analysis of financial statements and support to internal and external audits.
Moreover, from July 2016 until his induction at APIT in 2017, Sheeraz had been working as the Vice Principal of ACCA at SKANS Rawalpindi. This expanded his work role to include admissions, coordination, marketing, human resources, research & development and the IT department. He also engages with the accounting bodies, public and private organizations, schools, colleges and universities for the improvement of the education system and employment opportunities for students. Sheeraz’s chronological success story in the field of accounting is a value add for the Australian Pacific Institute of Technology and we’re really proud to have him on board.
