This combined Australian issued qualification initially introduces skills and knowledge for an individual to administer and manage information and communications technology (ICT) support in small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) using a wide range of general ICT technologies. It goes on to applying a wide range of higher level technical skills in ICT areas such as networking, IT support, database development, programming and web development, effective in senior ICT roles within organisations.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must have satisfactorily completed year 12, or its Pakistani equivalent.

Enrolment Process

APIT have a 3 stage enrolment entrance process:

  • Complete the Language Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) online test. To pass to the next stage, you will need to achieve a 5.0 banding.
  • Complete the Oxford Placement Test which will be administered at APIT. You must achieve a B1 or B2 standing (IELTS equivalence 5.5)
  • Pass a Final intensive Entrance Interview


Career Pathways

Successful completion may grant you entry into 2nd year Bachelor studies (following successful Student Visa application) at various Australian Universities.


The assessment process includes theory, written tests, projects and practical assessments.

Our Qualified Trainers

Our Recruitment policy requires all Trainers and Assessors (Lecturers) at Australian Pacific Institute of Technology to undertake the Australian issued TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment qualification. This is carried out by a qualified trainer and assessor travelling from Australia, to ensure that our staff are at the highest standard.

Our Trainers and Assessors come with many years of industry experience and exposure to Australian culture. They are also able to interactively engage with students in a relaxed and friendly manner and ensure that accurate technical skills are developed, leaving students confident in their ability to apply them in a professional environment

Course Entry Requirements

To enter the program, as delivered by Australian Pacific Institute of Technology, applicants must have satisfactorily completed year 12 or its Pakistan equivalent.

English Language Requirements

Given the program is delivered and assessed in English, entry to the program requires proficiency in English through the completion of our online Language Literacy and Numeracy test.

All Students will then be required to complete the Oxford Placement Test which will be administered at APIT. You must achieve a B1 or B2 standing (IELTS equivalence 5.5).

An exception is provided to students who fail the Oxford Placement Test with a result no less than B2 (IELTS equivalence 5.0).  The student will be required to undertake our in-house English Enhancement Course concurrently with their Diploma studies for a period of 6 months.


This program will be scheduled to be delivered over 104 weeks of full time study, comprising of:

  • 92 weeks face-to-face
  • 12 weeks holiday periods

Class Schedule

A total of 24 hours per week of classes will be scheduled over 3 days during the week.


This program is delivered in a combined classroom and a simulated workplace environment.

  • The Trainer and Assessor may provide additional learning material where gaps are identified in either the participant’s underpinning knowledge or the training resources.
  • Delivery and assessment takes place in English.
  • Simulated businesses utilised for training and assessment are based on Australian Standards and Legislative requirements.

Training and Assessment

Assessment will commence in the session following learning; delivery will consist of Classroom Face to Face Training and Online.

This is a competency based program, assessment continues throughout the program until the participant either achieves competency in the assessment tasks or a further training need is identified and addressed.

The assessment process will include theory, projects and practical assessments.
